Italian folk rock singer Marco Bonvicini has released his new video Lady.
Radio Date: 09/07/2020

The long artistic journey of Marco “Bonvi” Bonvicini which has been continuing uninterruptedly since the end of the 90s, alternating between bands, theatrical performances, soundtracks and collaborations of different types, is enriched with a new videoclip shot for the single Lady, new excerpt from the album Colors released in March.

Fourth single of Bonvi’s fourth solo work, Lady is a poignant folk-rock ballad suspended halfway between Rolling Stones‘ Angie and Lynyrd Skynyrd‘s Simple Man, which focuses on the warm vocal timbre of the Bolognese singer-songwriter. The song tells a story that has come to an end and the restlessness of the thoughts that overwhelm the protagonist between initial hopes and final resignation. When a relationship reaches its end, the protagonist still hopes that it can be recovered, that it may have been just a misunderstanding, one of those quite common in a couple, but soon he realizes that the relationship is now broken forever. Then the willpower, the spirit of survival, the need to go on, while trying not to completely destroy the affection that had tied the two lovers so long, takes over.

The director and photographer Anthony Armaroli (MAD Bologna) has edited the videoclip adding some of the lyrics at some points.

Shot in an abandoned house in the Italian country between Bologna and Tuscany. The sun’s rays want to forcefully enter through the windows illuminating the darkness of the rooms, as well as the dim colors and the decadence of the abandoned rooms symbolize the mood of the protagonist who still tries to see the light while going through a dark phase.

Lady is currently being airplayed by international radios (official Radio Date July 9th) and features the following musicians:

Marco Bonvicini: vocals, acoustic guitar

Lorenzo Assogna: electric guitar

Paolo Roberto Pianezza: pedal steel guitar

Francesca Alinovi double bass
